Anime provides us with really cool characters on a steady basis so it’s hard to pick out just a few of them. However, I’ve decided to give it a shot and I’ve narrowed down my (pretty much infinite) list of characters I find cool to five characters that I think are the coolest. I’ve taken their looks, possible powers as well as their personality into the account.

Note: Some character opinions might contain minor plot spoilers. If you’re not familiar with the anime the character is from and don’t wish to spoil yourself, don’t read the opinion.

Shiki Ryougi (Kara no Kyoukai series)

Have to love the “wacky” outfit she’s rolling with while killing bad guys as well as innocent people. I also like her special eyesight, overall design of her eyes and of course her rather quiet personality.

Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch)

Who wouldn’t love to have the same power of Geass as Lulu has – absolute control over a person. He reminds me a lot of Light Yagami, since he’s also very smart as well as intimidating when required.

Konjiki no Yami (To Love-Ru series)

I’ve added Yami-chan to the list mostly due to her cool/sexy battle outfit and her bad-ass ability of transformation. Would be great to have her ability to protect yourself and there wouldn’t be any need of knives in the house.

Revy (Black Lagoon series)

I’ve just recently finished watching Black Lagoon (it was epic) and Revy is one of the characters that immediately popped up in my mind when I thought to myself “Who’s really cool?”. I think that everyone likes her no-bullshit attitude and her crazy jumping around when she’s killing crooks.

Light Yagami (Death Note)

First character that came to my mind due to being a big fan of Death Note. Light is one of the rare characters whose flaws I don’t see if we overlook the fact that he’s an evil mastermind that sadly luckily meets his demise in the end.
